Thought I would because there are so many of us on here.....
I know there are a number of bow hunters and really admire the skill needed... my daughter loves the bow and arrow.
I will start with .... 2 weeks ago I picked up my new .243 to replace my rifle from more than 2 years ago.. I sold my 30-06 as at this stage I just have no use for it but will get another later when more cashed up.
I have the 3 x .22 and a .204(my baby) ,2x shotguns and now the .243
Also have put a deposit on a .22 cricket for Erica...
Been nearly 2 years since I have been hunting... 4wding keeps getting in the way.

I dont have my license or a Gun and not really done much, played with a Shottie a few times, over/under and a side by side. No idea on specs but kicked good
I like the Rifle allot. That is a sweet looking gun you have BA, id love to see it some time. Seriously. How difficult is it to get my licence if i dont have a property to shoot on?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever. WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
Mate you can meet me at Little river and shoot any gun I have legally mate.... as for getting your own licence not hard at all, just need to do a couple of tests put in a heap of paperwork and you to can become a crazy red neck like me !!!!!!
I have introduced about 8-10 people to shooting including Irish.
I'm a hunter too, bunnies and hares so far, but looking to get some goat or deer in the near future.
Started with a humble 22, now have a few(right tool for the right job).
My favourite is my 1942 Lee Enfield 303 and am currently building a custom hunting rifle off a 1951 military mauser action(as all my recent dumb threads attest to).
My wife also shoots, and I recently paid forward ba's generosity by introducing another friend to shooting targets and hopefully hunting too.
Me with done rabbits that cooked up nice. My last fox I shot and my wife getting into the sport still yet to claim a prize but enjoys the fun of it all.
Fire arms are
Remington 700 sps stainless with 3x9 redfield scope in 22/250
Stirling in .22 with 10 shot mag and a Stirling nikko 4x scope bought second hand for $150 shoots straight too
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both.
For a wounded man shall say to his assailant,
'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.'
Such is the rule of honour.
In WA it is so hard to get any sort of gun licence..but we try and get out and have a play..my eldest 12 is into rifles and the other is into bows...me I like explosives...I have a .22 and a .17HMR..love that little sucker..i pegged a shag at 200mtrs yesterday...that's what ya get when you start eating my marron..when I applied for a .17 it took me 14 weeks to get approval for it even though I already had a firearm
most of my shooting is when I need to get rid of something...work on a farm so it's just another tool.here's a couple of pic from australia day this year at my brothers block.
Watch this space, as there maybe a comment added soon
The 22-250 is a brilliant round isnt it Macca.. I had the 243 and was getting rid of my 17hmr so decided on the 204 and I love it... nearly 4000fps on a factory round.
If I did not have the 243 I would go a 22-250 for sure, they make a mess of foxes !!!!

Yeah I have heard WA is a bloody hard state for firearms... great the kids are into it..
My daughter has fired more rounds that most blokes have and is very level headed... she shocked my aunty when she started to give me an ear full for being a shooter by saying when she is 12 she will be getting her gun licence.. he he !!!!
