Went out chasing deer yesterday arvo, no luck at all very few signs around also. But nailed this little two for one walking out, fox with a freshly caught rabbit! 308 was a bit of overkill but keeps the farmer happy.

In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
Bloody long weekend.
Sent a pta off 2 weeks ago for an air rifle to get rid of a few indian mynas.
Usually the FAR send them back the day the money clears your account. Well that day was good Friday so it couldn't have been sent until the following Tuesday at the earliest. I should have well and truly recieved it by now if it wasn't for the Easter bunny.
This is copied from our facebook group and thought I would share this here... I will post pics later.
Well as you know Matthew, Sean and myself have been up to nsw west of dubbo on a shooting trip.
We kind of used this as a stepping stone for shooting for years to come and also see if we could get other properties, we did this in glorious fashion and were well received by the locals.
A big trip is in the early stages of planning.
As for the shooting on this trip it started out very slow with the first night arriving 6 hours late because Matt is a nob..All credit to Matt he drove 17 hours, by the time we got there we went straight to sleep..
The next day Matt had work to do and Sean and I helped out... we are now qualified electricians. .ha ha.
That night we went out for our first shoot and thought we had just wasted our time and money but on 8000 acres it can take some time to find where the good shooting is.. after a couple of hours slowly started to find our groove.
The following days got better and better and we also found some time in a huge reservoir to set up a range and shoot targets at 340m.
Also walking around the old farm house was amazing and some great old wrecks and collectibles in many of the sheds.
Matt got an awesome shot on a fox with the best coat I have seen so we skinned it for a gift for seans wife...
My 243 performed beautifully and the reloads are certainly worth it.
One stupid thing I managed to do was slice my knee on my old machete. .. fark it hurt..lol
We learnt a lot from this trip and made some good contacts.. I cant get the blue of the day and the red of the evening out of my head.. just so beautiful.
Cant wait to get back to that part of the world... cheers Matt and Sean I had a ball.
