Angry GQ Y60 Brake Master Cylinder Leaking

    Hi Team.

My GQ (SWB 19()) is going through brake fluid like its beer on a hot day. Now there's a whole lot of the paint stripped off under the master cylinder so I'm pretty sure its leaking from where it connects to the booster. I got a quote from a shop here in NZ and it was upwards of $270. I see you Aussie lot have a lot of EBay shops that sell the cylinders for a lot cheaper. My question is what one do I get..... Some say a bore size of 25.40 and some are 26.99. In my manual it says ALL are 25.40 but there's an option for Australia being the 26.99.

    My specs
1990 Nissan Safari AD (SO a Jap Import), SWB, Disc brakes all round, No ABS
The markings say BM57 Nissan Japan on the right hand side
    and TOKICO on the other.

    Any help appreciated

    G`day mate
It should be the 25.40 as you would only have single piston calipers on the front and the 26.99 master is fitted to those with the twin piston calipers up front.

Been checking the E-Bay sites for the mater cylinder and they seem to suggest that disc front and rear should have the larger bore size.

Will it matter if I get the wrong one...? i.e. will it still fit and work properly or does the larger size bore require something bigger to operate it...?

Can I measure something not eh master cylinder that is on there at the moment to gauge the bore size or do I have to remove it first....Arghhh....!

Just looked up the size and the correct one is 26.99
the manual is a little confusing so checked with one of my old suppliers.
