    Mate of mine has a drone. Cost him around 2k. His drone self levels when there is a cross wind, even really strong winds. We had it down the local park a while back and he gets it into the clouds, yes clouds, and turns the controller off and sits down on the grass. A minute later it was sitting on the grass next to us. Its GPS tracked so if you lose reception from controller to drone it will simply return to the point of where it first took off.

    We just got the Walker X350 Pro.. Taking it to the cape with us to get some awesome footage!! Great bit of gear!! Will be getting the FPV as soon as I get back!!!

    I know it's an old thread but I just joined the forums so I'm catching up...

    I've been into quadcopter's for a while now and have a few home made ones. I've been working on a portable one that carries in a pelican case (bunnings alternative cause im cheap) specifically for outdoor 4wd trips and I'm almost there (besides getting the 4wd). Costs around $400 for the full kit, even spare parts. But it does take a lot of time and learning. I'll be installing a gopro attachment on the miniquad soon.
