New bump stops out of the back of an 80 series cruiser measure 150mm so will still have to pack them a little for safety margin.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Yeah it's a bit tricky Brando, I might jack the car up on the weekend and sit the tyre down onto this bump stop and see how much it compresses before fitting them.

The Amadas are the third set of shocks into the back of this car after destroying the rear shocks twice with no bump stop mod.

The Amadas are expensive and I need to get this right.

Do you know how much they compress?

Well had a play with the 80 series bump stops and this is what I learned!

    They Measure 150mm long.

    ImageUploadedByMotorculture1371373433.272497.jpg

So as you can see I put it on the jack and tried to lift the car with it!!

    It compressed........ And Compressed!

    ImageUploadedByMotorculture1371373515.419581.jpgImageUploadedByMotorculture1371373530.002563.jpgImageUploadedByMotorculture1371373545.703509.jpg

Down to just under 80mm!! The factory rear bump stops measure 70mm!

    I need 160mm of protection!

These are being sold all over eBay as a great upgrade for a Nissan! Are they? I dont think so! Bugger it!

Yeah that's what I'm thinking now. I will probably have to make them myself and will take some good pics when it do.
