I have taken it to Brett at 4Wd Obsession yesterday and he will see about getting it revelled and back braced for me.
Should be back together in a couple of weeks
How much is just that housing worth if you can buy it on its own???
I think you should invest in one of those PTO winches seeing as you broke the high mount lol.

Yeah I will see how it welds up. I think it was the lack of back bracing of the housing at that point. If you look at the front bracing going to the point of mounting you can see its all about the front.
Brett will sort out some better bracing in there and it should repair up fine.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

hahaha, yeh I was very surprised of the amount that was in mine when I rebuild the gearbox, mud is evil and as much as I loved playing in it my bank account isn't big enough to keep repairing things
