Cheers mate I'm pretty keen on a 24v setup and working that way. Just have a few things on the buy now list first. The car is still not rolling after that trip.
I removed your link but that's Hells Gate. Winching exercise. Pointless to be honest. You don't go there to drive. You will drive no more than 20% of the track and skull drag the rest on a double line pull.

Well I just stripped the 6hp winch motor and this is what I found!!

Yes there are supposed to be 4 brushes in a 6hp and all that mess on the bench is 2 of them that have exploded inside the motor!!!
