So i have neglected this build thread but been giving it a bit of time over the last month.

I desperately needed to sort out the back 9f the car. There was some very sh1t wir8ng into the back i couldnt leave. When working through it simply could not fix it so ripped the lot out ans started again. Scarey bad, some of it done by a much younger me.

Im really happy with how its come up. Safe. Organised. Fresh. Correct.

Fuse box on the right and some USB points on the left.

I mounted a new reverse light from LEDLightCo. Love it.

Now i need to figure out storage for the back. I will be making some emu wings for the side windows eventually.

    Storage platform above the spare.

The straps failed damn it. I couldnt get my hands in so have bailed on them

I wanted to be able to store stuff in the spare tyre so wanted access to it. So hinged lids to the middle and the outside.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Did a bit more this weekend. A few months ago i took advantage of a 30% off sale at Repco and grabbed a new stereo. The old one was CDs and the new one is USB. Bluetooth and at $100 i couldnt say No.

Then it was time. I have spent alot of time thinking about how im going to get power to the roof light. This was the only way to go.

I need to put one more gland in for the side lights next weekend.

Thanks mate. Tek screws rock mate. They do their job very well. There is a big dob of silicon under that Anderson plug too. Every industrial factory on the planet is clad using tek screws. Wind rating and all. They work good mate.

Externally sealed and into somewhat controlled internal environment Roof sweaty cavity a little unsure Daz mate? We’ve honestly had issues in our game with penetrations on the under side rusting up/outwards -posts etc...

Yeah i put a big dab of silicon under it and up through the holes. If you zoom in you can see also that the top of the Anderson Plug is covered in silicon over the top of the tek screws too. They are fully encased. They will be fine. No doubt at all.
