yeah i have a sheet of 50 x 75 mesh i think, it is behind the shed. had it for years. you know.... I'll need that one day! Went to grab it yesterday but found a bloody European Wasp Nest in the retaining wall behind the shed damn it! between me and the Mesh! The mesh is still where i store it! fark that!! I will drag it out after dark tonight maybe. But yeah always intended to put mesh on it for sure.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Killed the Wasps! Finally. Took a couple of goes.

Last few weeks I have organized a bottle of Argon/Co2 Lite as this Gasless Welding is rubbish! Got it going but really junky welds.

Priced Buy versus Rent! Rent wins hands down.

The buy price was expensive and the Refill price was Rude!!!

I ended up with a Rental E size bottle at $19 a month and $73 per change over. No contract, month to month. I can drop it back any time. If I not going to use it for 3 months it's cheap to give back a half full bottle.

    Bargain I reckon!!

Well dragged out the mesh today past the wasp nest. Cleaned up the Gasless welds and cut and welded the mesh.

Bought some plate steel to weld on to mount and protect the light bar. Will weld it on tomorrow.

The new wire and Gas has transformed the welder! Stoked.

Hi John, nah under slung light bar. Looking at a Curved Lightbar from Lights Vendor.

I like the under slung as the light is well protected. My previous setup was the same.

Bloody Hell!! Big day! Knackered. Most of the day with a 5" grinder in my hand. Many years ago I had my own business as a Cabinet Maker and had a Sander or Grinder in my hand all day, between that and riding a Sports Bike my forearms and wrists are rooted. Today was a hard slog!!

Tried a few different options to strip the paint (all expensive) the Wire wheel worked a treat. Lethal but effective!

PPE was ear plugs, safety Glasses, full face shield over glasses and hat. Nasty bit of kit is the wire wheel! Spits all day.

Welded to plate on for the light bar to mount to.

All stripped, welded, cleaned, wiped down with Wax & Grease remover. Ready for some primer.

Just want to get a coat of sealer on so I don't have to clean off rust next week.

Looking good mate. Did you try a flap disc I've found them the best at removing paint so far?
