Hello to all...
Looking at purchasing a ridge Ryder 9,500 lb 5.5 hp winch and setting it up on a portable tray. Super cheap have them out for $390.
Has anyone had any dealings with ruses winches.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I have had one for 2 years now - happy with it. The only thing I didn't like is the control box mounting is above the cable spool. First time I used it the control box mounting brackets were damaged.
It didn't matter as I was planning on relocating the control box to under the bonnet
The clutch assembly can be rotated if the clutch lever is in the wrong place.
Im looking at upgrading to rope.

Advanced
The brother has had one of those for a couple of years now. Got him out of a fairly bad situation a couple of months ago. I was impressed enough that I now also have one. Bit slower maybe than a Warne but does the job for now. For the price it does what it needs to. Supercheap had the 12500 for the same price with wireless remote last month.
I plan to live forever................going well so far

Got one the same on my bus, pretty happy with it for the $$, I threw the wireless remote side in a box in the shed its just useless, make sure you lather all wiring points with plenty of petroleum jelly, I actually removed all original powered bolts and replaced with stainless bolts only $10 but worth it

I bought the 12000lb one with rope. Used it once so far and it pulled me out of a pretty horrible spot without any issues. The brackets for the control box are rubbish and mounted it on my own brackets

My missus has one on her Pajero, used once, worked fine, money well spent.
