Does the waste gate actuator adjust ie can you unscrew the arm?

Yes you can and I think you might be on the money there too. I tried to not rotate it whilst modifying it and getting this on but it could of moved slightly.
Would adding extra 15mm to the rod itself put more pressure on the spring load itself hence the loss of pressure?

Yep, thinking about this more I don't think there's enough preload on the arm. I remember there was a whisker tension when I removed it.
Ill see what I can do during the week.
Is this what you are thinking Benny???

Does anyone know which direction moves the arm in or out?
Standing in front of the car looking parallel towards the arm is it clockwise or anticlockwise?

Wind it in. It will now be harder to attach to the waste gate or the arm is going to be shorter

I'm not even sure why I said it had an adjuster on the arm, it doesn't!!!
I'm going to have to take it off, carefully bend it to suit the right preload and try that again.
I'm almost positive this is the cause and to get this in the right spot is going to be a nightmare!
Almost tempted to cut it off and weld on a thread to adjust it perfectly.
Fun times ahead, once again!!!

For anyone wanting to know I just found out the correct preload tension is half a hole back.
