Yeah that's the high side which is steep and long but not hard in dry. In wet would be interesting though.

There is a second track about 100m further on that I thought was Lindell's. This one is marked on a heap of maps as just "walking track". On my Rooftops map of the area it's known as Reds West Track.

I have had a look at the map and the closest camp sites to the famous aeroplane track are shown in the map below (where the pencil is pointing). image-883416976.jpg Was thinking of meeting around 9am at the intersection of Melba hwy and Healesville-Kinglake rd. there is a big gravel area there where we can stop on the side of Melba hwy and wait for those coming. The usual channel 17 will be used. If anyone has other suggestions of meet place and/or camp spots feel free to suggest away. Cut and paste names for who is coming.
