    550 is high mate. As boots has asked, what's your boost reading. I got 387c on the Hume and up the big hill just out of Seymour sitting on 110 clicks towing the camper. You should be getting lower than that imo.

    But then that would be approx 288 celcius, which would be pretty low if its working hard.... wouldn't it but i have no idea do ignore me, I'm just thinking out loud

    thanks larx, yeah i like it mate. its a long way from the old GQ's i used to have thats for sure. a very comfortable and capable rig. have you got a build thread? i would like to check it out

    Mate drive by your gauge then and back off when temps climb. You could tweek with boost a little and get it higher but you may go to limp mode as things are. Unfortunately you need to spend more of your hard earned on a larger exhaust to get temps down to a more satisfactory range IMO.

    wait so higher boost would mean cooler EGTs? is that what your saying? and yeah i know i need the better exhaust, its just choking the motor atm with the stockie
