More sanding done over the last few days, man I hate sanding but still got a bit to do! Started to form the wheel arches as well to smooth them over. Used fibre glass to build it up and then put a thin coat of body filler over it, almost got the passengers side all finished and started on the drivers side. Got a few dents to repair too before I can put down my primer coat

Front guards were in pretty bad shape so I ordered new ones which arrived tonight and also got a brand new front grille for it too so got another weekend of sanding and doing prep before it can be sprayed. Quick question has anyone had any problems with the doors, when I open the drivers door I get a really loud clicking noise coming from it just wondering if there is any adjustment to stop this?

Hey Chris, nice job on the prep work. With regards to the clicking when you open the door, it may be the door hinges. They have two open positions, and when transitioning between these two positions, tend to click(or clunk).
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Thanks mate on further investigation today I see that the rivot that holds the hinge together has worn and come a little loose so just need to replace the lower hinge I guess, no biggy. More sanding and prep work done today more dents filled new guards fitted feel like at some point I might eventually paint this thing haha

Okay time for an update...after 3 months of sanding, spraying, wet sanding, more sanding during every bit of my spare time I have finally finished doing my shorty! I have put up a couple of pictures but there will be more to follow these were just the ones I took in my garage today.

side repeaters from a defender one of the most difficult jobs to get to work out but I like the clear plastic on the white of the car rather than the orange ones
