    Wrx intercooler in gq?

    Hi folks,

I can get my hands on a free front mount intercooler with mandrel bends from wrx.

Is it even worth the hassle to even contemplate fitting this to my gq or not?

Can't see it fitting on the front, haven't even checked any measurements for top mount or anything but just seeing if anyone thinks this is just a waste of time or can't be done, etc??

Obviously the bends won't line up but is it worth grabbing it or will it be another garden ornament on the property?

I rekon it could work you'd just ned to re do the cooler piping. The core size is about 600mm x 245mm x 76mm yeah ??? The CC ones are 600 x 300 x 76 so it shouldn't be a drama, any anyway its free so take it lol.

Take it Andy... I think the WRX intercooler was an option that George was thinking about when I was looking for one.

I would use it as a front mount over a top mount everyday of the week. If it's free go for it. Just make sure you use 2.5" piping at a minimum. It will fit nicely behind the grill

Yeah the 2.5" would make the lag less noticeable if it was front mounted
