loss of power when warmed up
Hi Yall
I have a 93 patrol tb42 that has a loss of power when its at full running temp.
I was having some over heating issues with the car, IE:was running around 3/4 on the gauge when diong around 100 kph.
Was fine around 80 to 90 but on 100 she would go up and loose power.
Also has always been gutless when its at running temp.
fixed the issue by installing a new 3 core rad, water pump and put on some thermo fans as well.
Now she runs at just under 1/2 way all the time.
I have still got the problem of power loss at running temp though..... Any ideas?

Sounds similar to the problem I'm having with my 93 maverick. Runs sweet when cool then misses badly when up to temp. Sadly I'm still working on the problem too

It dont miss fire any more when its hot.. has a small missfire when its cold but dont affect it.
Just realy gutless when warm. My 120y has more grunt.

Na its just pertol. EFI
I,m thinking it is fuel related so im gonna throw a gas kit at it if it dont start to behave.
Ive cleaned out the fuel filter and run through some injector cleaner as well.
Next step is the TPS and fuel reg.

Ive heard of these water temp senders doin Strange stuff.
It works the gauge fine. How would it cause my power loss. Is it an ECU thing?
