3 or 4 inch shocks.
Hi all,
Im starting to plan my build now and want to get the suspension working well. Im planning on running 33s or 34s if i can find some.
So in terms on lift im more focused on travel and ride than outright lift so my thoughts are 2 inch coils and remote res shocks either 3 or 4 inch.
Im willing to extend bump stops but will 3 inch shocks still reach standard bump stops?
Any thoughts or advice on this sort of setup?

Anything more than a 2" lift will require extended bump stops.
Unless you feel like new shocks after each run..

so would I be right in assuming that 30mm Bump extension would be sufficient with 3 inch longer shocks?

No, bump stop extension should not be an assumption, it should be modified based on the collapsed length of the shock regardless of size.
I like to set the bump stops with about 10mm before the shock bottoms out

Shock purchases should be made after first measuring or knowing what lengths you want (fully extended and fully collapsed) but not very easy. The best thing to do is what ben-e suggests and if you have to modify things to suit what want once you have installed.

Thanks for the help fellas
Looks like I need to do some more research on shock lengths.
