    Audi 8

Hey guys, can anyone shed some light on my little prob.
Miss's got an Audi 8, V6, when she turns the ignition off the cooling fans keep running. Only way to stop them is to disconnect the batt.
Took to auto elec and had him stumped.
Any ideas for an electrical dumb &?$$

Also check the wiring loom for rodent damage. We had rats chew some wires together which caused weird stuff like the aircon coming on and the engine starting with the key in the 'acc' position.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Yer Stropp that's how they work but these stay on all day if not disconnected.

Yer Steve, checked the relay, didn't see a puter in his shop, just your basic leccy, so don't think he scanned jack.
Might dismantle for parts and get a new Trol lol

Id get someone with a scanner to see what the car has to say first, really not the sort of car id want to be poking around just guessing with.

Definitely get it scanned first, euro cars are smart, too smart actually coz they even log a fault code when you change a light globe. I had a quick read of that link and the fault of that car was that the fan was working flat out while the car was working. But like they said you could have a fan computer fault or if the audi's are like the bmw's and have an electric waterpump for the heater that can cause all sorts of dramas. It'll be VERY VERY expensive to guess and replace parts so go get it scanned, even if you go to the dealer and pay for an electronic diagnostic report which may cost 100+$ to be certain.
