Sun Roof
My 2000 Patrol has a sunroof, but it will not open. When I press the switch, I can hear something clicking, but no movement of the window. I would think it is a motor somewhere, so does anyone have any experience in repairing this? It would be nice to drive Costa Rica with the wind blowing through what hair I have.
Thanks in advance.

Legendary
Epac,
I had an instance with mine where I was travelling on wet clay roads in the desert, and the car was covered in the wet clay whilst driving, and when the clay dried it caused the sunroof to not open, as it had stuck the rubber seal all the way round.
If yours is perfectly clean, then disregard this, but if you have covered your car with mud / clay when out driving, then you may want to give the glass a slight push with your hand whilst you operate the mechanism to break the seal.....

Thanks to both bluecrab and happygtu...I will try both of your suggestions. We just acquired the car a short time ago and I have no idea of how the previous owner drove it, but in Costa Rica during the rainy season, it would not be uncommon to be covered with mud.
