Dunno about 17 inch but I have three sets of 16's and the offsets are manuf specs as supplied;
Procomp 16 x 10 Inch alloys running 305's are (minus) 24mm offset,
Dynamic 16 x 8 Inch steels running 315's are (minus) 22mm offset, and
ROH 16 x 8 Inch steels running 285's are (minus) 13mm offset.
Trying to sort out a standard factory Nissan spec is a tad of a boggle as any Google search will tell us.
AFAIK depending on the year, model, tyre package option etc the rims will be (plus) 10, 0 or (minus) 12.
Not saying those figures are right wrong or indifferent. Just saying they are ones that I have come across over the years with "Nissan" stamped on them
There could easily be more.

I copied those figures from my Max Ellery manual so there is no ref, to neg or pos offset

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Hi Cobber,
It isn't so much the rim size has a specific offset as the tyres you put on them is the decider
16 x 8 plus 10 offset will be fine for 265's but change to 285's and you will need to be 0 or better still -10 to -13 mm offset to move the inside edge of the tyre away and stop it scrubbing.

Cool bananas mate,
I reckon the OEM sizes without the +/- specified could well be;
minus -35 mm on the "skinnies"
plus +10 on the 245/70
minus -10 on the 265/70 "fatties"
