    GQ 33's without lift?

    Hey guys,

Been told that i can't fit 285/75/16 tyres on my GQ without a lift as they'll scrub, is there any truth in this? Currently running 265/75/16 tyres.

    Cheers
    Leo

You can but will probably scrub on your guards when flexing and may also rub on you front mudguards when turning. My petrol gq gas a 2in lift fitted with 33x12.50 and they scrub on flex and had to remove front mudguards . My TD42 also has a 2in lift but with 285x75x16 (approx 33x10.5" ) tyres, they still rub on the inner wheel arch but do not rub on the front mudguards when turning

Thanks Clunk, i'll stick with the 265/75/16 for now then until I get lift and then decide if I go 285/75/16. I'm not going to do extreme wheeling anymore, broke enough when I had pajero doing it haha.

Yes it may have been BUT in their defence it was very capable, well mine was anyway, just the CV's in front driveshafts were weak or maybe it was just me pushing it so hard. I'm glad I had one and modded hell out of it to see how good I could get it to perform, now to start on this GQ haha

Drive the gq on the same tracks as you went with the pajero and you won't be able to wipe the smile off your face:-)
