    does anybody know if i can fit a set of gq wagon alloy steps on my 99 gu ute?

    i am chasing a set of steps to suit my 99 gu ute--scotty(bigrig)--has said i can have the old ones off his gq wagon !!(bloody nice of him i might add)--any idea if they will fit?--or am i dreaming????

    Im tipping thay will have to be cut down but other than that I don't see why not.

    But I will add I've never done this so I will stand corrected if im wrong.

    Paul is correct.
    The factory steps mount to the body not the chassis so you will need to cut them down.

    the mounting bracket on the Q steps are very different from the U steps but if you are prepared to drill the floor you can probably make them fit. You will need to shorten them up though which won't be too hard.
