Problem downloading manual

Hi all, just tried to down load an early 90 petrol workshop manual and got directed to all these diff virus programs and now computer has gone into snail mode and I can't uninstall programs that have installed??
Running a full norton 360 scan overnight and I'll see if it's cured. Does any one have a direct link?
Ps I paid my sponsorship today and am not a 25 post and run member.
Hope PC is ok, this iPhone is all thumbs!!

Was it our manuals you tried downloading or someone elses?

Google foxit reader , http://www.foxitsoftware.com/ its the only software I use to work with pdf's

G'day Tiny, you are good to go with the downloads but you must of clicked on something not related to the forum as I can 100% guarantee the manuals hosted here are safe.

Yeh mate, I'm just making sure there is no link to an external site that may contain a virus.
