Yeah wow this is interesting. As we were so sure it was just the turbo at fault. We can only hope the the smaller oil drain diameter is restricting flow causing it pressurise internally and leak past the seal.
Not sure if this is of any help, or you have already done this but heres a few links for you. There might be some things here you might not have checked????

Well some good news finally!
Came up with an idea to have no oil drain or fitting on at all and simply have the oil draining from the turbo into a funnel into the sump.
This eliminates every possible issue from the engine side, oil fittings, draining etc and it enables me to run the engine for as long as I like to ensure all residue oil already inside the compressor is exhausted from previous tests.
Confirming again my oil pressure and oil flow is spot on!
After 30 minutes of running and even revving the engine the leak became noticeably worse which was a relief to me as I became completely lost in what to do after every previous check was fine.
There is some underlying issue with this turbo that needs the pros to work out so I'm happy to say a new one is on its way.

Can't believe the ordeal you have had to go through here. Crazy man! I am glad you didn't let it break you though, I think a lot of people would have given up.

It did break me mate. I will now spend the rest of my driving days checking oil level every single time I drive this thing...lol

Ha. Funny that.
Once you have a major ish problem it's sticks with ya.
My eye is always on the temp gauge, thanks to the issues I had with the oyta I had.
