Head over to the intro section and say g'day before posting mate...

As for the tank you dont need to remove it but get yourself another from a wreckers and cut the old one out.. then slightly shorten the new bolt and install it the other way.

    No worries mate.

No BA is talking about cutting out the trailing arm if you can't get the bolt out.

Are you trying to fit a HD upper trailing arm? Is the Long range tank the main tank at the back or a lR sub tank under the driver?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

If it is the lower control arm you are talking about it is only the bolt that you cut.... and remove then replace but from the other side... I will see if I have 2 min later and take a pic.

Its a simple job and should take you no more than 30min rather than hours stuffing around removing the whole tank, plus this way it now becomes easy to get at or remove in future... dont know why they dont do it when they fit the long range tank in the first place?
