Buddy have you tried the 4x4 mats, self inflating and i garantee you will have the best sleep mate. (they are great)
You can throw them up top with the miss's.... Ooops

have an awesome trip Ross,
I am lucky, my mrs hates the blow up mattress and loves the swag, we both fit in it comfortably,
me being 6'4 and 150+kg and she aint a little lady either
