Lightbulb Conversion from GU Y61 2.8 l to a TDi 4.2l in Perth, WA

    G'day,
I am looking for wisdom on this forum.
My Nissan Patrol 1998 SW looks decent for her age, so I decided to buy it for a project .
This means at this stage I am looking to change its 2.8 l Diesel engine with a 4.2 l TDi engine.
I am aware that some engineer works must be carried out and then the vehicle to pass he pit. But, first, I need if this project is feasible and if they are mechanic professionals to carry it on.

My questions to you guys are:
    - do you know specialised workshops in Perth WA which are able to assess and engineer this matter?
    - apart of wreckers are businesses in Perth WA selling refurbished engines from where I can get a 4.2 l TDi engine for my patrol?

Please share with me your information and suggestions about this matter.

    Cheers,
    Christian

JV mechanical might be worth contacting, I follow them on fb, they're always doing something interesting to customer cars

As for feasibility, I dunno. I thought the 2.8 was a good motor. The diff ratios are usually highly sought after.
