GME TX6200 parts and advice required

Hi all again I have a GME tx6200 UHF hand held that requires a belt clip. any idea where I would get one .
Plus has anyone used the throat voice activating mic, or which is the preferred method.
I aslo have an Icom Joey for track work, small and compact I love it..

I'll take any info I can get as going on a trip soon

Three dogs, send GME an email re the mic - I have had a quick look at their web site, could not see a throat mic listed

    The web site is http://www.gme.net.au/

I have tested troat mics in the pass, found that the need to be tight - ie like a priests collor to work, also tested skull mics - need to be tight.

Try MCKAY's they might be able to help with an after market unit

A portable with a speaker mic is handy if you are directing a vehicle over an obstacle.

I would stick to a vehicle mounted radio for convoy driving.

Even though the portable has the same spec as a mobil (and without a external antenna), the unit will have reduced range compared to the mobile due to placement of the antenna. Basically the unit is insie the vehicle next to a lump of meat (you)

I have done a lot of work in regards to in building portable coverage and what levels are need for it to work.

Yea I just clip it to my shirt.
I only use it for when I'm out of the car as I once used it as my main uhf ( using the trickle charge/ external antenna kit) but it wouldn't last a full day of wheeling.
