    friend over christmas break

    a mate of mine misjudged a creek on holidays.. at the back of flagstone... the water was rising.. had to be left over night and recovered in the morning....

    going through the creek it self and hit a hollow spot couldnt get traction after that... try winching it out but water flow nearly doubled so had to leave it... its half stripped out and will live again in about a month

    she was a RB30 on gas but will be a TD42 when its back on the road... front diff got no water.. rear was full and gearbox had a bit it in too. sub petrol tank got a tiny bit of water aswell..

    Not a good thing to go through at all & not to mention the damage to the patrol.

    Im glad your friend got out safe & sound but I also hope he has learned some things as well, it may just save he's life one day.

    man i would be in tears if this was my car, hope your mate got out ok and hay what a good excuse for a few upgrades too..
    My Pride and Joy, stock standard White 1998 GU 2.8L Turbo Diesel. Mods yet to come, I only bought it in Dec 2010, Cant wait to have some money saved and get started!!!
