Unfortunately never completely got the car ready for a Big Lap around Australia. After waterpump replacement, the car was running fine again for two weeks. Unfortunately, after two weeks, a loud ticking noise came from the engine. It appeared that a push rod was bend. Back to the mechanic and spend again money, what fixed it for three days before the exact same thing happened. Now it is time to say goodbye to the car, it needs a new engine. Such a shame of all the custom bar work such as the rotatable kayakholder and dual wheel carrier with integrated mtb carrier, but maybe it is better this way. Finger crossed I can still get some back for the car. I now have my eyes on a 4.2td ex telstra ute. More expensive so I decided to delay the Big Lap for a year or so till I have sufficient funds again. One day it will happen haha

Hello Danny and welcome! A shame about the car! Perhaps a diesel conversion instead of binning it altogether?
Some of the members a lot more experienced than I may be able to offer advice in this regard. Best of luck!
