Patrol Guru
Welcome guys. I'm a happy Ironman 4x4 Customer all the way in Saudi.
I put the bullbar and suspension on the GU and couldn't be happier. I paid about 70% of the price of the other main brand here (other main brand everywhere ). I'm sure both are good brands, but I'm happy with what I got for my money (btw, much cheaper here than Aus, but that's a different discussion).
A couple of weekends back we did a trip to the "Edge of the World", a local sight seeing spot on the edge of the escarpment, which is appropriately named once you get there to see. The trip in is along a wadi (valley). About 15 km's of corrugations and loose gravel mixture. Shakes the daylights out of everything. The sort of trip I hate (I love the soft sand). On the way out it was interesting to notice one of the friends with his Wrangler. The shocks were completely gone, obviously got too hot. You could rock it side to side without any resistance. It came good again (within reason) after they cooled down. For me you couldn't tell any difference, the shocks were still doing their thing perfectly. They are about 18 months old now.
So, I'm a happy customer and will be happy to buy them again.
Thanks, Cameron
No Patrol now - Just good memories!
