These axes look like they would good for camping trips would store nicely upon the roof rack next to the shovel .whats price have you guys been paying for these?
Thinking the large one and a tommy hawk smaller one
I paid less than $50 for the two larger ones and $30 for the hatchett, at the time
it was cheaper to buy them from the States.
They come with a protective cover for the blade or give @oncedisturbed a bell
and He'll be able to whip up a leather cover at a reasonable price.
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Thats some good pricing there TD i just went down to bunnings and grabbed the X27 which was $129 .Having a bid on the smaller X7 tommy on ebay bunnings want $74 for one <so ill see how i go on ebay its at $40 ATM
Why do caveman drag there woman by there hair ?
Cause if you drag them by there feet they fill up with dirt
They look to be a good way to mount the axes only problem i dont run a cargo barrier ,i like the idea of being able to access the fridge whilst on the road and not having to stop to get a fresh beverage. They would go allrite on the roof rack but couldent leave the axes up there full time as security would be a problem but would be great for trips out in the bush .

If you're not running drawers then it could mount along the rear Quarter moulding.
I have my fridge behind the driver, as its usually just me going away.
Plus in your case with the Fiskar having a hole in the handle thats one end secured
the other would be easy enough to figure out IMO

I didnt even think about the hole in the handle of the axe , i can get a long shank lock and lock it to the mesh on my roof rack. Thanks TD for that
It does suck big time we cant have gear stored on or in our cars always at the ready these days without the worry that it wont be there when we need it .4x4s have been targeted in my area by druggy scumbags looking for easy way to get there next hit, spotlights ,lightbars ,shovels ,spare wheel bags , basicly anything they can rip off the car
