Keep in mind you'll need a breakaway system if you want to rate it over 2T mate.

I know mate. The trailer is engineered for 1500kg. Being home made, I believe the guy just over engineered it. I saw some of his other stuff, it was all very well made and over engineered

FWIW: Personally a big fan of overcompensating axles on singles especially
Strive for 2.0T ‘ATM’ legal engineered tops with an allowance for bushwhacker shenanigans, square 50mm’s can pop/bend with larger/flatter float tyres maybe?

    You’re not the only one.lol

I’m thinking of upgrading to 60mm with a parallel bearing setup. My trailer gets a fair workout so just want to toughen it up a little

My apologies Gents, pictures hopefully speak betterer than me

My Kanga trailer is only rated to 1950kg and pre-upgrades recently had a 50mm square axle.
Two reasons I chose the 60mm round Huntsman one for the upgrade were:

    1) I don’t fully trust the 3,000kg chinese rating so factored at least 25% greater for that.
    2) I installed wider guards to cover it’s now 33x12.5” tyres (vehicle matching/sharing) so the axle is extended to its recommended maximum 150mm spring center to brake backing plate.

After nearly killing my nuffy self last week loading a laughable to (Fair Dinkum Aussie Loggers) our baby 9.0T load of 6.0m long 200kg slippery debarked sticks onto our old Acco via slippery forklift tines I definitely had to reconsider my future

This Kiwi beautifully engineered Rata-Power Claw will hopefully keep me and anyone nearby much saferer in the future

I bought a 3000w(6000w peak) pure sine wave inverter to charge my Makita batteries while I'm driving. I ordered it Friday, it arrived yesterday and was installed last night. On the way home today the batteries I flattened were thrown on it too charge and sure enough it works great. Ran a dual Port rapid charger with ease. It has a small digital panel on it too, which displays batteries voltage(not that important as I already have that displayed in several locations) but more importantly the current wattage draw.

    It was a bargain imho.
