Seeing that I'm now missing a rear mounted spare the redback bags are retired..
However I still needed a solution.
So I'm giving the CrashPad Tailgater a crack.
Not cheap at $275 delivered but looks the goods.
Will review once here.

I'd also love there 360 awning. Not a fold forward setup, but 2.5m long frame so give a much wider shade from the car. Most others are just 2m or a bit over..

I purchased a unit that takes a plastic 30l bin, on the basis the last one ended up a pigstye with food and mud etc - will see how that works out I guess.
