Have heard of it done with Laminova cores. There is a build thread on it over on the P4x4 forum, I think.

Not aware of it with 'standard' cores.

Mate you are doing what I wanted to on the zd30..
I started a thread a while back and started hunting for coolers in the size bracket as the air to air coolers..

I agree price wise is not an issue as they are cheaper than most brand name a2a cores..

Be sure to do a thread mate. I'm very interested.. especially seeing mine showed a few leaks on the last desert trip..

Well first 4wd trip away using the lock up torque converter tackling some steep tracks in the VIC high country and it certainly helped.

Whilst still not as good as a cruiser 1st gear low, it was certainly an improvement and make descents a lot more controlled

they look pretty decent with greasable links etc, and come in a lot cheaper than other reputable brands such as superior engineering ($205 i think)
