The ITECH unit is 3000CCA, but the duty point is massively lower time wise, however it is alternately linked to the number of starts at that rated 3000CCA. I think the box states the unit can do 40 jump starts on up to an 8L diesel before requiring a recharge, however unsure if these are one after another of some other timeline. Anyway, its a monster
I have a Nocco unit and rate it highly. I keep it in the back of the car permanently plugged into a Cig port. constant trickle charge while driving. I ahve pulled over and helped more that a couple of motorists. Works great.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Didn't think about that. the 900amp unit i have in the subaru can sit there in the rear cig lighter - thanks for that Darren.

What amperage is your Nocco mate? Mine also rides in the back on charge when driving but was useless as an ashtray on a bull when needed (600A peak output). What sort of vehicles have you zapped with it?

Yesterday now, honestly thought I’d wasted $75 USD downloading the complete series workshop/parts/maintenance manuals for our officially now vintage 3.0T breakout force drott/track loader beast

Thanks to the puter file received it turns out after further investigations that a usual Aussie-Case backhoe runs the same torque converter sleuthing
Found one ready in NSW ready for changeover and rolling again

Inhave a GB70. I used it to start Roofy's car in the back yard when we did the big clean up. It had not been run for a year and the radio didn't even work. I was a little worried but left it sit a minute then cranked it into life. To Mt surprise I immediately removed it like I have before ans the car shut down. I jumped it again and left it connected for 15 minutes while the Alternator caught up.

It has jumped my GU TD a heap of times too. Jumped the GQ a few times too. As mentioned it is plugged in constantly in the back of the car so always fully charged. It's been great.

Also have the Noco GB70 that's rated at 2000 amps. Haven't needed it yet for the Patrol but I do use it to start my old Kubota tractor occasionally rather than buy a new battery for it..

My previous 400 amp Powertech, that I got as a gift, wouldn't start the tractor and also wouldn't start my wife's 2.2l TD Sorento.

This is probably your old one Stropp, it’s a 1975 model and one of its ripper’s has been customised for cable laying to a depth of around telco 400mm 🪝
