Dual 12v compressor and air tank upgrade

Little something I'm working on. I'm going to be running dual 12v compressors soon and had to go for a bigger a tank. Before everyone one goes why? well why not?

The tank I'm using is off an old tractor and believe me when I say its a solid tank. It is going under the car inside the chassis rails and it will be able to take a punishment. The fittings side I will have protective plates.

    My old tank,

    The new tank,

How much air do you need???????
Is the extra weight worth the extra few litres of air.

Well done mate... I will be watching with great interest.

I have a small 9lt tank and find it to be too small for popping tyres back on there bead.

It is great having this sort of set up for many jobs needed out on the track..

Interested to see what compressor you run

Great mod Nice and solid steel tank not one of the lighter construction ones.
You'll be able to run a rattle gun now, Don't forget [non return valve on your air Manifold]

@ Mego weight wise would be very small plus its down low, where most fit an air tank
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Well lets just say if the two compressors and tank weigh more than 20 kilos i'll be surprised. I could write a list of why im doing this but simply I could just get on with this build.

I might move this thread or could I have the title change by a mod please to , Dual 12v compressor and tank upgrade.

    Title changed mate.

I say go for it mate, and why because you can.

I have had a steel air tank out of a M.A.N truck since 2003, still not in the 4b yet, was one of those projects I started and never finished

    Thanks mate,

Out with the factory wiring and solder joints.

These compressors have a different thread than normal nitto fittings, so out with the tap and die sets.
