Ironman roof rack problem
Hey Guys I just wanted to post this as the post started by shaun100 has closed.
In the last two weeks I have also had exactly the same problem with rusty water spraying out the rubber stopper over the paint work. I don't usually walk around to the passanger side where the problem is and had quite a bit of spray there.
When I pulled out the rubber stopper rusty water under pressure squirted out. It looks like the pictures already posted.
I was pulling the roof rack off to be ready to fit to a new latter model patrol that I have arriving next week.
The roof rack was purchased December 2012 so is only about 10 months old. I am desperately trying to remember where I put the receipt so I can do something about it.
I wanted to get this post up so the anyone who has one can check theirs before we have more damaged paintwork around the place.
It is a full length steel rack.
Hope this is useful to someone.
Cheers
Dan

Yeah Im sure they will growler, I just have to find my receipt. Its more about getting people to hop up there and check before the damage is done. (paintwork)

As with shauns post ,,,posting on a weekend is probably the wrong time to expect a quick reply.
PM IronMan direct with your Questions, You should receive your answer first thing Monday.
From where I sit it looks like they need better sealing procedures put in practice.
As Growler says they seem to look after their customers well.

Update: Went into Ironman today to show them the issue, The guy came straight out to have a look at it. With in a few minutes he had called up couple of guys out of the workshop that removed it and said we will call you Thursday when its fixed. No fuss no arguments.
Although its not a good situation to be in you can't complain about their service, it was first rate

It's sounding like a QA problem in their production line. I'm sure some internal questions will be asked!
