now i just need to run some clear tube at the bottom with a brass tap at the end and place it somewhere accessible for emptying..
very happy with the result..
i will take note of the kilometres and check how much oil has been filtered after 1000 klms and put another post here..

How have you found this catch can setup over the long run? Stood the test of time? How much filtration?

I had this exact system on my 2.8 and it cleaned up all the oil muck that was getting into the intercooler. I started with exactly the same tap, but found it didn't seem to work with the tap closed. I removed the tap, hence an open pipe, and bingo - but what a mess! The oil mist and drips ended up blowing onto the chassis rails and picked up the dirt - total pigstye. I don't have that system anymore as have changed motors, but think if you are able to direct the oil below the chassis then the mess will disappear.
