Laminate would be food safe, SS is top but sorry not at that price,
I'd rather pack a small card table which will give me slightly extra space.
No doubt a well built product, but not for all
Yea I've just used laminate On my bench top. When it gets work peel it off and change it..

I think the best type of table for those with rear drawers (and I saw this first in Kris GU) is to have a lid for one of the drawers so when you slide it out you have a flat surface to work with. Just gotta make sure you have got everything out that you will need!

Have you used it yet, I personally don't work out of the back of the Patrol.
We take a huge tarp that houses a prep table[aluminium top] An eating table.
Plus a zip up cupboard, all pots and pans stay on a shelf under prep table.

Not as of yet only installed it last night. But got a trip this weekend where it will get a workout.
Well the idea is to use it for "Quick stops" like lunch, or overnighters rather than having to pull out and set up the fold up table.

Camping somewhere for a few days would involve getting the awning outt putting walls on setting up tables etc haha

I can see it as a great place to boil the Kettle for a roadside cuppa, or whip up some sandwiches

I guess it's personal choice really. With 3 females and 2 under 3years space is at a premium. I can't see this changing in the future, just the contents of the load.. Lol
We live outta of the patrol when away. It's all there. Stove goes at the end of the bench, and all prep On the bench. All cups mugs, food, dishes etc live in the pantry.
In-laws have one of those fold out pantries, but it's just the 2 of em so they have more room..
    Cheers

Yup pull the trim off and drill and rivet on (which could be a pain if you need to get into the door for wiring etc.) i have a feeling im going to need to do that when i install a light mounted to the spare tire :/

All the holes are predrilled in the Stainless though so that is essentially a template.

If there stainless rivits you'll need a quality drill the same size you drilled threw with, lots if lube and drill threw the center of the head. Once your 2-3mm deep a quick knock to the side of the head and they will shear Off, if it hasn't spun off already..

But you will need new rivets.
