Rally Australia 2013

Hey all,

Don't know how many of you know, But Coffs Harbour just hosted round 10 of the fia world rally championship.

My wife and I officiated again this year and we conducted a road closure on the saturday, But I was able to take the trusty patrol offroad friday and sunday and arrive at some road closures to take some snaps of the cars coming past.


Day 1

Watched a bit on tv last weekend. Man they move!! Love the full on drifts over the crests

And this is day 3, We actually met Ross Dunkerton who was doing some media work at this road closure, My father-in-law was star struck lol!

Irish driver Kris Meeke was asked to drive for citroen and basically just finish the race to get manufacturer's points, On Saturday he suffered a roll over after coming off the track.







After that they had to inspect the rollcage and once cleared the Citroen mechanics (8 in total) were given 3 hours to repair the car to race again.






Unfortunately for Meeke, On Sunday he took a turn too wide crashed again and destroyed the rear drivers suspension.

It can also be a dangerous sport! As my lovely wife found out in 2011. Wrong place for her, Right place and time for me with the camera hahahaha
