Kintsukuroi — More Beautiful for Having Been Broken.
This Japanese word describes the art of repairing broken pottery. On another level, it is a powerful metaphor of life.
The original story is said to have originated in the 1500's and speaks of a beautiful hand crafted bowl given to a great military leader of the time. The bowl was dropped and broke into 5 pieces. Instead of throwing the bowl pieces away, it was carefully reconstructed.
The bowl, having been broken, was not seen as worthless or devalued. It was in fact, seen as being even more valuable. It now possessed a resilience and beauty that it did not previously.
It is more beautiful for having been broken.
The proof of the bowl's fragility is evident; so is its resilience.
As I lay there looking up, taking in the spectacular view that was the night sky and the multitude of stars I asked myself, where did my tent go?

I choose to be an outragee, so therefore I'm right and the outrager must to be silenced!
Free speech for all!! (but only if you agree with me).
Sad state of the world we've become.
Google Stephen Hughes comedian for some straight advice on the way the powers that be have sucked people power and personal freedom away over the last 40 years. Still accelerating
