Well the unit turned up pretty quick and I have used it on both metal and plastic (console) surfaces using different sizes. The alloy bits require little effort and as mentioned above are easily over tightened and threads stripped. Need to be careful with the effort used and be aware that the limit screw needs to be set on the conservative side. The M8 steel inserts required a bit of effort so the limit screw is extra important here, with the smaller alloy sizes you can "feel" when they are set.
All up worth the cost and make jobs easier, neater and will hold a lot better than self tappers
