Nutsert kits on ebay
Anyone tried one of these ebay el cheapo kits. Was hoping they would be OK for occasional, non vital parts, fixing.

well i have used one of these kits before a few times.
the only thing i can tell you is be careful of the smaller bolts. i snapped a couple m3's and an m4 when trying to fit the nutsets. apart from that. they are all about the same.

Seems like good value to me. However I reckon you wouldn't want to be putting many in at any one time, would be pretty hard work unless you added some tubing onto the tool handles for extra leverage. Personally I'll stick with my compressed air nutsert tool it's so much easier! But it did cost about double this one, AND I had to buy the rivnuts/nutserts separately. Have never used aluminium rivets, not sure what purpose you'd want to use them for other than making squeezing the handles of that tool together easier.

The td boys need this in a larger sealed size for turbo installations. If only we could find them.

I have that rivnut tool and a grab kit of different size rivnuts No problem at all ,
you just have to remember its not a pop riveter or you'll strip out the smaller M3,M4 nuts.
M5 up is fine and for a tighter fit again squash slightly with plyers to make rivnut oval.
Got that tip off my aviation mates. My tool goes up to M10 but think M5, M8 would be the Norm
