Back in the day in Gwalia was actually relatively recent. Miners & their families were living in these shacks until 1963. The mine closed & the town population left virtually overnight. Many of the houses are pretty much as they were left. Folks from nearby Leonora do what they can to preserve the town as it is. I reckon that's how the water bottle got there.
