    Engine Control Relay

Does anybody know where the engine control relay is located on a 94 GQ TB42E? Is it located under the metal cover inside the drivers side guard? Any help would be much apprieciated.

I'm pretty sure it is under the metal cover beside the battery........surely someone that owns a TB42E can confirms this!

Have you had a look under the cover? they are normally labeled?

It will be the one labeled as ECCS, ECU or ECU.

The wire colours at the relay will be

2x White with a Green trace wires

    Black with a Yellow trace

    Black with White trace.

    Hope that helps.

No its not in the owners manual, can't find it in the service manual either.

Sorry my 4b is still at the smash repairers so can't have a look for you.

Ringing my old man now to see if its shown in the gregorys manual.

    Will report back soon.

There is a green relay next to the fuel pump relay marked EGI, not sure what it stands for? and an unmarked blue relay under the metal cover, wondering if it is it? cant really see the wire colours without unbolting bits and pieces....

I have a tb42e. On the end of the battery, closest to the driver, is another little box of relays. On the cover is a list of what the relays are for. One of those reads ENG CONT. (I thinks it's second one in from far end of box). I hope this is what you're after
