    GQ42 Shorty

    Just thought I'd put up a pic of my rig and a few deatils

    1989 Nissan Patrol SWB
    4.2L TD42 (non turbo)
    5spd manual

    Modifications

    Custom front bar to suit High mount winch
    Custom sliders
    Custom Rear bar with inbuilt air tank
    2" bodylift
    2" raised springs
    Front & Rear Swaybar removed
    TJM XGS shocks
    36" Simex ET2's on Beadlock Rims
    Custom Stainless Snorkel
    High mount Winch with Rope
    Dual Batterys with Redarc system
    Boss Air Compressor with 20L of Air Capacity
    4 Narva 100W on Lightbar


    Future Plans

    Turbocharge the motor
    Front ARB air locker
    Set of HID Spotlights for the front

    Tough looking shorty mate.

    If I had the bucks my toy would be a Patrol shorty.

    I just need the GU Ute for work and towing but if i ever come across some funds I would definatly go a shorty any day of the week.

    If you ever do turbo charge it you could bounce your way through some great tracks.

    Yeah that was actually a video of the 2009 Otway trip I ran on MudRhino forum (majority of the guys on there are into the harder style of 4x4n), I ran the same trip again this year and that particular track was was even harder now compared to that video

    Think it was around 6-7hrs to complete the track and majority of it was winching
