Tb45 head on a tb42 can it be done??
Heard along the great fine that a tb45 head can be put on a tb42 and they go well anybody eles heard this? and if so whats involved ?? i will also be putting a turbo (t3/t4) with front mount on it not straight away tho any info would be great

hey mate you only need to post this once not 3 times
arnt the pistons a differnt size

I know the tb45 has a larger bore do this may play a part. I think the only way to really know would be to get one and try.

Why the bigger head in the smaller block?? A bit backwards if your looking for a compression increase.
The old Holden boys use to bolt the 185 head to the 202 engines to increase compression..

I found a post on another forum where someone had done it. His comment was that it went but not great - ended up putting the tb45 in.
1991 GQ LWB 4.2 Carby dual fuel, 32 mud claws, 2 inch lift, LSD's front and back
And its Toooooooo High for the Ball & chain
