What to do in the mud

Hi Guys,
As you know, we're really lucky here with the amount of sand we have to play in, but when it comes to anything else we're a bit deprived.
One of the guys has managed to find a nice muddy wadi for us all to play in, so I'm off to have a go on Friday.

Sand's not an issue but mud????
Has anyone got any tips for driving in the mud? Tyre pressures, keep the revs up, diff lock, etc

Looking forward to this but sure I'll end up bogged to the chassis

Momentum! Its hard to get moving again if its real slippery mud. Pick a Line and have a go

Drop your tyres a little. I usually go 20-25 psi all round.
I also find if your doing ruts on 31" tyres then angle the steering into the side walls a little. The front will try and climb up the wall and lift the diff for a little extra clearance. If it does jump out don't panic, just keep the wheels pointing in the right direction and keep powering on..

and if you end up with a slow leak in your tyres you have mud in the bead.

pick your line before you enter the mud and try and stick to it just make sure the rutts arent deeper than what your tyres and diff can handle and set up your snatch strap before you go in generally on the back if its flat ground as if you push the mud its harder to drag you out but if you can be pulled backwards and it clears the underneath of your car happy days

I normally leave it in 2wd with my 39x18 boggers at 6psi to make new ruts for every one. Hahah

So that's why everybody with normal size tyres gets hung up all the time? You're one of those guys.

Haha i knew someone would say something. ive only done it once and i thought the hubs were locked in but they werent. I dont purposly going around f!cking shit for everyone. Regod patrol only runs 36s so id wreck it for myself haha

yep as already said, momentum! I like to also have a strap ready to go on either end of the vehicle. Might save you from getting dirty!
