What oil are you running in your Chev

Just after info on what oil people are running in their chevs, I am running Mobil Delvac ESP 15w 40, only because that's what those people that installed the engine are saying to put in. Would like to go back to Castrol possibly Castrol RX Plus 15W-40.

    All input appreciated

Hi Ian, only just saw this thread.

I was initially running the Mobil Delvac same as you but changed to the Valvoline Super Diesel because it was easier to get from Supa Cheap in the 20litre drums. 15W40.
Between Patrols ATM. Had a beaut GU with 6.5 Chev TD. Next is a GU ute with a 4.5 litre Cummins conversion and a camper on the back.

The Mobil delvac is a better oil than the Castrol but for the ole clunker most of the modern diesel oils should suffice.
